The key factors that drive growth in retail industry are young demographic profile, increasing consumer aspirations, growing middle class incomes and improving demand from rural markets.

According to 'Migration and Remittances Factbook 2011' by World Bank it is expected that the inflows would reach US$ 440 billion by the year end, with remittances to developing nations likely to reach $ 325 billion from the 2009 figure of US$ 307 billion.
